KUALA LUMPUR: Both the Malaysian men's and women's hockey 5s teams qualified for the semi-finals of the Asian Youth Olympics Qualifier at the Queen Sirikit Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
The men beat Pakistan 12-1 and Singapore 7-1 yesterday to top Group B and will square off with South Korea in the last four Saturday.
And the women beat Japan 4-3, and their semifinal opponents are India.
The finalists in Bangkok will qualify for the Youth Olympics in Buenos Aries on Oct 6-18.
While the men were expected to reach the semifinals, the women were a revelation, as they proved themselves beyond their capabilities.
Coach Yahya Atan's angels were 0-2 down, but fought tooth-and-nail to edge Japan. The Malaysian goals were scored by Nor Asfarina Isahyifiqa, Siti Zulaika Hussin (two) and Elizaberth Epui Martin.
Yahya himself was amazed with the fighting spirit of his charges, who never gave up until the final whistle.
"I'm happy beyond words as my team played their hearts out to finish second in the group and qualify for the semi-finals. They showed great commitment and dedication to beat Japan, and seek glory for the nation and their family members," said Yahya.
On India as their semi-finals hurdle: "We are just a step away from the final and I believe if the girls play like they did against Japan and follow my strategy, it will be another wonderful experience for them."
The men's skipper Amirul Hamizan said: "I would like to thank my team mates who gave full commitment in all four group matches and will urge them to give their best again in the remaining two (knock-out) matches."

BANGKOK: Men on track, tough for women..
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian men's team kept their winning streak intact when they beat Taiwan 10-0 and Bangladesh 7-4 in the Asian Youth Olympics Qualifier at the Queen Sirikit Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
However, the women's five-a-side team lost 9-1 to China but bounced back with a 9-0 score against Taiwan, and need to beat Japan FRIDAY to qualify for the semi-finals.
The Malaysian men top Group B with three wins after three matches, and play Pakistan and Singapore today for a shot at the semi-finals.
Teams which qualify for the final in Bangkok will then proceed to play in the Youth Olympics in Buenos Aries on Oct 6-18.
The 10 goals against Taiwan were scored by Amirul Hamizan Azhar, Akhimullah Anuar Esook, Arif Syafie Ishak and Muhibuddin Moharam (two goals each, while Syarman Mat Tee and Noor Firdaus Rosdi scored one goal each.
Men's coach Wallace Tan expected the score against Taiwan and also the close fight from Bangladesh, who took a 1-0 lead and even equalsied at 2-2.
"It is good that we did not break the winning momentum against Bangladesh even though they gave us a very tough fight and even took the lead.
"This match showed that my players have the winning mentality and it will be a crucial element when we play two more matches (Pakistan and Singapore) tomorrow (FRIDAY) to qualify for the semi-finals," said Wallace.
As for women's coach Yahya Atan, he knows it will be uphill as they need to beat Japan to play in the semi-finals.
"Japan are a tough side , it will not be easy, but not impossible either in hockey 5s," said Yahya.

Good start in Bangkok qualifier..
KUALA LUMPUR: The national women's under-18 team started their Asian Youth Olympics Qualifier campaign with a bang when they whipped Hong Kong 10-1 at the Queen Sirikit Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
And the men also had a wonderful time, when they hammered Cambodia 23-0 in the hockey 5s tournament.
Only the men's and women's finalists will qualify for the Youth Olympics in Buenos Aries on Oct 6-18.
Putri Nur Batrisyia (first, 23rd), Siti Zulaika Hussin (fourth, eighth, 18th), Nurmaizatul Hanim Syafi (fifth, 11th, 28th), and Siti Nur Arfah Nor (19th, 20th) scored for Malaysia.
Women's coach Yahya Atan said: "This big win is a good start for our campaign to try and qualify for the Youth Olympics in Buenos Aries. The players adapted well to the 'new' concept of hockey 5s and I believe they will not disappoint in the next matches as well."
"I'm really proud of my players who not only claimed three points, but also won by a big margin. Tomorrow (today) we will play China and I believe it would be our toughest match in the tournament.
"We need to tighten our game against China, especially when under counter-attack after losing the ball in attack."

JHL: Thunderbolts miss each other...
KUALA LUMPUR: All four Thunderbolts received a favourable draw in the quarter-finals of the TNB Cup starting on May 2.
Anderson of Ipoh, Pahang Sports School (AHP-SSP), Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School (SSTMI) and Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS) play under the Thunderbolts banner and are sponsored by Tenaga Nasional.
The four will not meet each other in the quarter-finals, and it was a relief for Anderson team manager M. Kaliswaran after an open draw with the top-four seeded was conducted.
"At least we (Thunderbolts) passed the first hurdle and will not plat against each other in the last eight," said Kaliswaran whose side will play MBMB Warriors from Malacca.
Coincidentally, Anderson finished second in Division One, while MBMB Warriors second in Division Two.
"Yes, but that does not mean we will be playing against a weak side. I watched Malacca play in the Division Two final, and they have a very good side. I believe if we take them lightly, we will be in trouble," said Kaliswaran.
Division two champions from Penang, MSSPP-PSHA, were drawn to play Pahang's AHP-SSP-Thunderbolts.
All four Thunderbolts teams not only receive funding from Tenaga Nasional but also equipment as well as coaching expertise from former internationals who also played for Tenaga.
Defending champions SSTMI were drawn to play against PJCC Tigers, and even though the Tigers ended sixth in Division One and barely made the quarterfinals cut, they held the champions 0-0 in the League.

KUALA LUMPUR: Pioneer Sports School Bukit Jalil Thunderbolts lost 4-3 to Petaling Jaya City Council (PJCC) in their final Junior Hockey League (JHL) Division one match to end fifth on the standings.
This is a slide from third last season, as the Sports School lost a few strikers to Anderson Thunderbolts and Pahang Thunderbolts for this year's challenge.
PJCC's goals were scored by Shahzariq Haikal (19th), Faisol Rozihan (36th), Fikri Amer Runnizar (43rd) and Syabil Aizam Noor (56th).
Idris Samad (13th, 22nd), Nursyahmi Zulkifli (26th) scored for BJSS.
Arif Sabron is among the strikers, who scored five goals for BJSS last year, who moved to greener pastures.
"We can't hold on to players who have completed their Form Five and normally other clubs are always ready to snatch them. We lost a few strikers from last season, and that's why the team struggled to score," said BJSS coach Lokman Yahaya.
But with budding players expected to rise from BJSS Juniors, a Division Two team, Lokman is optimistic his team will rise higher next year.
"We have many young talent eager to be drafted from our Division Two sister team, and so I believe we will be much stronger next season," said Lokman.
Arif scored five goals for Anderson and the Ipoh school ended a laudable second on the standings.
The four Thunderbolts, who receive funding as well as tactical and coaching expertise from Tenaga Nasional, all qualified for the quarterfinals.

JHL: Penang Division Two champions
KUALA LUMPUR: Penang's MSSPP-PSHA lifted the Division Two Junior Hockey League title when they beat Malacca's MBMB Warriors 3-0 in a penalty shoot-out at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil yesterday.
The regulation time match was entertaining to the last drop, but ended 0-0 as both sides failed to find an opening in the semicircle.
However, there was good news for the losing side as well, as both the finalists qualified to play in Division One next season, while the two teams relegated to Division Two are Old La Sallians Association of Klang (Olak) and Perlis Young Lions.
"I am very proud of the commitment shown by my players to become champions of Division Two. They fought every inch for the ball, but could not score in 60 minutes.
"It was a tensed shoot-out, but in the end we prevailed and now we will paly in Division One next season as well. It was a double reward night," said Penang coach G. Uthayan.
In the bronze battle, KL Vipers came back from the dead to beat Anderson PHA 2-1 in a rain-interrupted match.
Anderson were leading 1-0 with a third minute goal from Iqbalnafis Rostam but rain stopped the match in the third quarter and when it resumed, Shafiq Abdullah equalised in the 49th minute and then delivered the winner in the 60th minute.
KL Vipers made their Division Two debut this season, and finished a laudable third.

Konfederasi Hoki Malaysia (MHC) akan mengadakan sidang media, Isnin bagi mengumumkan keputusan Persekutuan Hoki Antarabangsa (FIH) yang tidak menghukum Kumar lebih lanjut selepas enam bulan tersisih sejak keputusan ujian itu diumumkan.
Khabar gembira itu disahkan sumber yang boleh dipercayai kepada Sukan NSTP.
Kumar gagal ujian doping ketika saingan Piala Asia di Dhaka, Bangladesh, Oktober lalu apabila sampel air kencingnya didapati mengandungi sibutramine, salah satu bahan larangan Agensi Anti Doping Dunia (WADA).
Malaysia tewas 1-2 di tangan India pada final Piala Asia dan itu adalah persembahan terbaik skuad negara sebelum Kumar digantung.
Malaysia menamatkan saingan di tempat keempat dan kelima ketika pertandingan Piala Sultan Azlan Shah dan Sukan Komanwel baru-baru ini.
Bagaimanapun perkembangan terbaru itu menyaksikan Kumar bakal diturunkan untuk menghadapi Sukan Asia Indonesia dari 18 Ogos hingga 2 September nanti.
Sumber itu berkata, Kumar tidak perlu menghadiri sesi pendengaran FIH kerana rekod bersihnya dalam hoki selain tidak menunjukkan penggunaan bahan terlarang berkenaan adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasinya.
Kebiasaannya, sibutramine digunakan untuk menguruskan badan.
Kumar mewakili Malaysia sebanyak 295 kali di pentas antarabangsa selain menjalani 10 ujian doping sepanjang kariernya dengan semuanya adalah negatif.
Dia tidak menjalani latihan bersama skuad negara selepas ujiannya didapati positif namun tempoh enam bulan tidak akan menjadi masalah kepada Kumar untuk kembali berada pada tahap terbaik menjelang Sukan Asia.
Malaysia berharap untuk memenangi emas pertama hoki Sukan Asia dan layak ke Olimpik Tokyo 2020 dengan kehadiran penjaga gol berpengalaman itu pasti mengukuhkan lagi benteng negara.

Bagaimanapun perkembangan terbaru itu menyaksikan Kumar bakal diturunkan untuk menghadapi Sukan Asia Indonesia dari 18 Ogos hingga 2 September nanti.
Sumber itu berkata, Kumar tidak perlu menghadiri sesi pendengaran FIH kerana rekod bersihnya dalam hoki selain tidak menunjukkan penggunaan bahan terlarang berkenaan adalah untuk meningkatkan prestasinya.
Kebiasaannya, sibutramine digunakan untuk menguruskan badan.
Kumar mewakili Malaysia sebanyak 295 kali di pentas antarabangsa selain menjalani 10 ujian doping sepanjang kariernya dengan semuanya adalah negatif.
Dia tidak menjalani latihan bersama skuad negara selepas ujiannya didapati positif namun tempoh enam bulan tidak akan menjadi masalah kepada Kumar untuk kembali berada pada tahap terbaik menjelang Sukan Asia.
Malaysia berharap untuk memenangi emas pertama hoki Sukan Asia dan layak ke Olimpik Tokyo 2020 dengan kehadiran penjaga gol berpengalaman itu pasti mengukuhkan lagi benteng negara.

KUALA LUMPUR: Great news for the Malaysian hockey team. Goalkeeper S. Kumar, who failed a doping test in October, will be back in action on Monday after serving his “suspension”.
The Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) will hold a press conference on Monday to announce the International Hockey Federation's (FIH) decision not to penalise Kumar any further than the six months that he has been out in the cold.
NSTP Sport came to know about this latest development from a reliable source.
Kumar failed a doping test during the Asia Cup in Dhaka, Bangladesh in October when a small amount of sibutramine, prohibited by the World Anti Doping Agency (Wada), was found in his urine sample.
Malaysia lost to India 2-1 in the final of the Asia Cup, which was their best performance before Kumar was banned.
Once rated as the No 1 goalkeeper in Asia, Kumar did not play in the recent Azlan Shah Cup and Commonwealth Games, where Malaysia finished fourth and fifth respectively.
However, Kumar will now be available for the Asian Games in Jakarta on Aug 18-Sept 2.
The source said Kumar did not even have to attend any FIH hearing because of his good record, as well as his declaration that he did not use any substance to enhance his performance. Sibutramine is normally used for slimming purposes.
Kumar has amassed 295 caps for the country and undergone about 10 doping tests throughout his career, testing negative in all.
He did not train with the national players after his urine sample was found to be positive, but six months of being away from the sport should pose no problems for Kumar to get back into shape for the Asian Games.
With Malaysia hoping to win their first Asian Games gold medal and qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, an experienced goalkeeper will certainly help their cause.

JHL Div 2 final: Penang the underdogs
KUALA LUMPUR: Penang's MSSP-PSHA feel they will be entering the field as underdogs against Malacca's MBMB Warriors in the Division Two final of the Junior Hockey League (JHL) today.
Malacca were Group A champions with a clean record in six matches, and they scored a mammoth 47 goals and only let in only three.
As for Penang, they emerged as Group B champions with five wins and a draw, scoring 39 goals and letting in six.
"I have watched Malacca play and they are a well rounded team and so I believe we will be the underdogs in the final," said team manager Yap Gark Soo.
But that does not mean Penang is going to take it lying down.
"Having reached this far, I know my players will again give their very best to claim the title before playing in the tougher Division One next season," said Gark Soo.
Malacca and Penang are both worty winners of a promotion next season, while Old La Sallians Association of Klang (Olak) and Perlis Young Lions will be relegated to Division Two.

JHL Div 2: Penang v Malacca final
KUALA LUMPUR: Malacca's MBMB Warriors and Penang's MSSP-PSHA wil play in the Division Two final of the boys Junior Hockey League (JHL) on Sunday.
MBMB Warriors, who had beaten TBSS Tampin 4-1 earlier, topped Group Y when they beat Anderson PHA 6-2 at the National Stadium yesterday.
And MSSP-PSHA edged KL Vipers 1-0 to top Group X, as they had beaten their Juniors 4-3 on Thursday.
Penang's winner was scored by Haikal Danial in the 35th minute. The goal also will see Penang promoted to Division One next season.
Malacca's six were scored by Fakhri Zaide (first), Hafizi Zainudin (26th), Amir Saifuddin (29th), Hariz Kamar (33rd), Hafizi Zainudin (41st), Amirul Syukri (46th),
And Anderson goals were scored by Amar Mustaqim Che Said (50th) and Rafiqul Husni 60th).
The win also saw Warriors gain promotion to Division One next season, ironically, they had declined to be promoted to the higher level this season -- 'because they were not ready yet'.

Youth Olympics: Tough for Malaysia...
KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian boys and girls hockey teams are expected to face a tough time qualifying for the under-18 Youth Olympics which will be held in Buenos Aires, Argentina on Oct 6-18.
Both the teams will have to play in the final of the Hockey 5s tournament qualifier in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 25-29 to win a ticket to Argentina.
Yesterday, the Malaysian Hockey Confederation (MHC) named both the squads and boys coach Wallace Tan as well as girls coach Yahya Atan admitted it will not be an easy tournament.
Played in a fast paced format of Five-a-Side, the Malaysian boys are in Group B with Pakistan, Bangladesh, Singapore, Taiwan and Cambodia.
The girls are in Group A with China, Japan, Hong Kong and Taiwan.
Yahya feels China and Japan will be the main hurdles: "Malaysian girls have never qualified to play in the Youth Olympics and I expect the challenge to come from China and Japan who both qualified for the last Youth Olympics.
"I believe my charges are ready to give their best and make the grade," said the 63-year old veteran coach.
Boys coach Wallace Tan also said he expects a tough challenge from Pakistan and Bangladesh.
"This is a good tournament to gauge our players as they will be under tremendous pressure against some of the best teams in the region. Pakistan and Bangladesh, who have already qualified for the Youth Olympics, and are in our group and I expect the challenge to come from both of them.
"It will be tough, but my players are up to the challenge," said Wallace.
The boys will be led by Junior Hockey League top-scorer Akhimullah Anuar Esook, who has scored 14 goals so far to hand Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School (SSTMI) Thunderbolts the League title.

JHL: Division Two title battle begins..
KUALA LUMPUR: Six teams will battle for the Division Two Junior Hockey League (JHL) title beginning today with no clear favourites.
Division Two, 20 teams divided into three groups, will see the top two teams in each group battle in Group X and Group Y, with the champions playing in the final while the second placed teams play for the bronze.
The three teams in Group X are KL Vipers, MSSPP-PSHA Jnrs and MSSPP-PSHA while in Group Y are TBSS Tampin, Anderson PHA and MBMB Warriors.
KL Vipers are a new team, while last season the final was between SSTMI Juniors and Sabah Sports School Resilient. Sabah won 3-1, and both the teams gained promotion to Division One this year.
So, the six teams will not only be fighting for the Division Two title, but also promotion into the higher division next season.
From Division One, Old La Sallians Association of Klang (Olak) and Perlis Young Lions will be relegated to Division Two next season.

SSTMI Thunderbolts League champions, Old La Sallians Association of Klang (OLAK) relegated to Division Two
KUALA LUMPUR: Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School (SSTMI) Thunderbolts snatched the Division One Junior Hockey League (JHL) League title from Petaling Jaya City Council (PJCC) Tigers with a 0-0 draw yesterday.
PJCC, last season's League champions, were the only team in Division One which could steal a point from SSTMI who had won all their previous eight matches.
However, PJCC are a lowly sixth on the table with one match in hand.
"Even though we were held to a draw in our final match in the League, it's still satisfying to win the title without losing any of the nine matches. Now we look forward to defending our Overall title in the knock-out stage," said SSTMI coach Wan Roslan Wan Rahman.
The reason for the draw?
"Five of my players went for Youth Olympics training and when they came back, they were too tired to contribute. However, it was a sweet 'victory' to win back the League title from PJCC," said Wan Roslan.
On the lower end of the table, Perlis Young Lions won their first points of the season when they beat winless Old La Sallians Association of Klang (Olak) 4-3.
Olak face Sabah Sports School Resilient at the Pandamaran Stadium next, and win lose or draw, the former champions will be relegated to Division Two next season.

JHL: Anderson Thunderbolts zap Olak 4-1
KUALA LUMPUR: Anderson Thunderbolts whipped Old La Sallians Association of Klang (Olak) 4-1 in Division One of the Junior Hockey League (JHL) at the Azlan Shah Stadium in Ipoh yesterday.
The win consolidated Anderson Thunderbolts quest to finish second in the League, while for Olak it was another nail in their coffin to relegation next season.
Olak have yet to win a single point after seven matches and have let in 39 goals and only scored four.
Anderson are currently second on the standings on 16 points after seven matches and travel to Likas to play Sabah Sports School Resilient next.
Yesterday, Olak scored first in the fifth minute off Hairi Amir but Arif Sabron equalsied for Anderson in the 24th minute and the other goals were scored by Fahmi Khalid (26th), Azrai Aizad (38th) and Syazwan Syafiq (59th).
"My players took it easy because at the back of their mind they were playing a team which had yet to win a match. That's how Olak scored the first goal," said Anderson coach Nizam Hashim.
But once they received the wake-up call, Anderson powered back into the match.
"We have two more matches to complete and I see the next one against Sabah a little troublesome. Not only that we have to travel to Likas (Sabah), but teams which have played there returned not too happy with the condition of the artificial pitch.
"We will have to get adjusted to the field conditions fast, as we need to win both our remaining matches to finish second, to achieve our best performance in the JHL to date," said Nizam.
The top spot has been booked by Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School (SSTMI) Thunderbolts who have 24 points after eight matches.

JHL: Anderson Thunderbolts eye No 2 spot
KUALA LUMPUR: Anderson Thunderbolts is eyeing the second spot in Division One of the Junior Hockey League (JHL), as Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School (SSTMI) Thunderbolts are almost assured of the League title.
SSTMI Thunderbolts have opened up an eight point lead with maximum points after seven matches, and will be difficult to chase at this point.
Anderson, whose best finish in the JHL to date is third, are second right now on 13 points after six matches and will have to beat Old La Sallians Association of Klang (Olak) at the Azlan Shah Stadium today to keep their dream alive.
And their two more matches are against Sabah Sports School Resilient followed by Pahang Sports School Thunderbolts.
"We must collect full points against Olak to keep the second spot in sight as after tomorrow (today) we have tougher matches against Sabah and Pahang," said Anderson coach Nizam Hashim.
Olak are lying at the bottom of the table after losing all six matches. They have let in 35 goals and only scored three.
Anderson on the other hand, have won four, drew one and lost one match. And even though they have only scored 15 goals, but they have a good defence and only let in six goals in six matches.
"We can't afford a slip at this stage as UniKL and Pahang both have 12 points and will also be aiming for the second spot," said Nizam.
Bukit Jalil Sports School, on 10 points, are the other challengers to Anderson's quest.
"As a school team, we are still the best in Perak, but as a JHL club we have yet to finish this high and so I believe my players will give their best against Olak for starters."
Olak will also be fighting their own battle today to avoid relegation to Division two together with Perlis Young Lions who have also yet to win a single point after six matches.

JHL: SSTMI Thunderbolts hammer OLAK 5-0
KUALA LUMPUR: Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School (SSTMI) Thunderbolts demolished Old La Sallians Association of KLang (Olak) 5-0 in Division One of the Junior Hockey League (JHL) in Pandamaran yesterday.
The win saw SSTMI Thunderbolts consolidate their League title quest, as at this stage, they have 21 points from seven matches with two 'easy' matches to play.
As for winless Olak, they are in danger of being relegated to Division Two next season together with Perlis Young Lions who also have yet to win or draw a match.
Two teams from Division One will be relegated, while two teams from Division Two will be promoted at the end of the JHL.
SSTMI scored all five goals in the first half off Akhimullah Anuar Esook (second, 18th, 34th), Shello Silverius (17th) and Shahrin Izzuddin (27th).
"Realistically, the League title is ours to lose as we have opened up a huge lead from our nearest challenger Anderson (eight points). And I don't see my players losing to Perlis Young Lions on Sunday to give Anderson a chance to catch up," said SSTMI Thunderbolts coach Wan Roslan Wan Rahman.
Mathematically, SSTMI are the League champions at this stage and even their last match against Petaling Jaya City Council (PJCC) Tigers should be a walk in the park.

SSTMI Thunderbolts too strong for OLAK
KUALA LUMPUR: Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School (SSTMI) Thunderbolts are expected to claim a comfortable victory over Old La Sallians Association Klang (Olak) in Division One of the Junior Hockey League at the Pandamaran Stadium today.
Only the score is yet to be determined.
SSTMI Thunderbolts are champions elect, as they have beaten all the tough teams and their final three matches are just to complete the fixtures before they can lay their hands on the League title.
The Johor Sports School is sitting pretty with 18 points from six matches while their nearest rival is Anderson Thunderbolts who has 13 points after six games.
And there is no way that SSTMI is going to lose their next three matches, against lightweights, and allow Anderson to pip them to the title.
"We have beaten the three tough teams in Division One (Anderson, Bukit Jalil Sports School and Pahang Sports School) and I believe my players will not disappoint against Olak tomorrow (Friday), followed by PJCC (Petaling Jaya) and Perlis (Young Lions).
"We need to take control of the Olak game early, to make our work much easier," said SSTMI coach Wan Roslan Wan Rahman.
And while SSTMI has yet to lose or draw a game, bottom of the table Olak has lost all five matches and let in a total of 30 goals and scored only three.

Pahang blast OLAK 5-1
KUALA LUMPUR: Pahang Sports School (AHP-SSP) Thunderbolts blasted Old La Sallians Association of Klang (Olak) 5-1 in Division One of the Junior Hockey League in Kuantan yesterday.
The win saw Pahang SS remain second on the standings, and their only blemish in the JHL a 5-0 defeat to current leaders Tunku Mahkota Ismail Sports School (SSTMI) Thunderbolts.
Olak drew first blood in the seventh minute off Irfan Haiqal, but that was all they had to show.
Pahang SS clawed back into the game with a 14th minute goal from
Haqif Aiman, while the other four goals were scored by Syawal Razak (20th), Shafiq Ikhmal (23rd), Firdaus Rosdi (43rd), Syawal Razak (50th).
Pahang SS coach Sufian Mohamed said Olak managed to score before his players could settle down.
"Even though we played at out own backyard (Wisma Belia Stadium), my players could not settle down early and made many mistakes which resulted in the goal.
"But once they took control of the match the goals came in easy," said Sufian a former national player.
Pahang will next travel to Likas and play with Sabah Sports School Resilient on Friday.
"We will be playing at a 'foreign' venue and so the team willa arrive in Sabah early to get used to the field. We will be in Sabah Wednesday, have a feel of the pitch on Thursday to be ready for another three points," said Sufian.

Matador Malaysia win two golds and a silver in Australia Sikh Games

Matador won golds in the Junior and Open categories, while their Masters team grabbed the silver medal -- losing narrowly 3-2.
Matador HC is coached by former Olympians Sarjit Singh and Maninderjit Singh as well as former international Baljit Singh Charun and former National Juniors coach Balbir Singh.
